FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ( FAQs)
1- How many books/materials may I borrow?

The number and duration of loans depend on the category of user as  stipulated by the   Library.  Loan eligibility may be referred to in the  Library Guide available at the Reader's Advisor's Desk and also in the Library homepage at the menu Lending Terms & Condition. Please clik here for more information.

2- Can I renew from outside of campus for books that I have borrowed ?

You can be renewals your borrowed item by using My Account service that available at the library main web pages.

Enter your full  student number/staff number exactly same as your student/staff card at a Login column . Please ensure that the first letter must be a lower case . Example :  d2000000999 @ m2000009999  and key in default password 1 at Password column. You may change your password using My Account menu.

 

 - Choose On-loan Item
   
 - The screen will display your loans' record and you can click the item that you want to renew.

 * If the library's web page does not work or down, users still able to renew their on loan items by phone (05-4506802 / 6832) or by e-mail (pustaka@upsi.edu.my).

3 - The record shows that an item status is "Available" but it cannot be borrowed while some are not available on the shelves. Why?

Please ascertain that the call number is correctly noted down before looking for the item on the shelves. If the item does not have a complete record (item in process), please seek help from the Reader's Advisor. If the item is not available on the shelves, most likely the item is
 
 - in cataloguing process or on order,
 
 - it has just been returned and is in the process of being shelved. Shelving takes time because    limited Library staff shelve about 2000 books a day.
 

4- How do I log out from my library portal?
To
 log out from
your library portal account, just click at this icon that can find at the top right of the library portal. Choose this icon to log
out.

5- How do I change my library portal account password or my e-mail address?

To change your library portal account password or e-mail address, first click at this icon that can find at the top right of the library portal. Then choose this icon to change your library portal account password or e-mail address.
